Skill badges have four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Hall of Fame. Categorized by Outside Scoring, Inside Scoring, Athleticism, Playmaking, Rebounding and Defensive badges. All skill badges must be earned by performing the move.
Each MyPLAYER archetype has a mix of key badges and secondary badges, which may range from Bronze to HOF, depending on archetype. Badge availability depends on the archetype you chose. Inside Scoring
ACROBAT–Can change his shot in air and attempt difficult shots with few consequences.
How to get it: Complete reverse layups or Euro Steps.
TEAR DROPPER –Excels at making floaters and runners.
How to get it: Shoot and make floaters.
PUTBACK KING –Known for his ability to score baskets immediately off of offensive rebounds near the hoop.
How to get it: Score immediately after offensive rebounds.
–Excels as the roller in the pick & roll game.
How to get it: Score as the roller in the pick and roll
RELENTLESS FINISHER –Takes physical punishment on contact shots near the rim without severely impacting his energy.
How to get it:Attempt contact layups/dunks.
POST SPIN TECHNICIAN –Dominates the post with spin & drive moves.
How to get it: Spin or drive out of the post.
DROP-STEPPER –Known theability to use the drop step move to his advantage in the post.
How to get it: Attempt drop-step moves.
–Excels at scoring in the post with up & under moves.
How to get it:Attempt up and under shots out of the post.
Outside Scoring
CORNER SPECIALIST –Known for his ability to knock down threes from the corner.
How to get it: Makecorner 3 pointers.
MID-RANGE DEADEYE –Knocks down shots from medium-range at a very high percentage.
How to get it:Make heavily contested mid-range shots from the elbow inside the paint.
DEEP RANGE DEADEYE –Knocks down shots from deep range at a very high percentage.
How to get it:Make heavily contested deep-range shots.
LIMITLESS RANGE –Can knock down very deep threes better than most.
How to get it:Make shots while beyond the line, before the hashmark.
DIFFICULT SHOTS –Known for making tough shots off the dribble.
How to get it: Make shots off the dribble i.e. pull-ups and hop shots.
–Excels as a pick & pop receiver.
How to get it: Score as pick & pop man.
TIRELESS SCORER –A player who can spend a good deal of energy without losing effectiveness when attempting to score.
How to get it: Scorewhile you are blinking red with energy.
–Hits stand-still shots off the catch at a high percentage.
How to get it: Score when you catch and immediately shoot.
FREE THROW ACE–A player who can knock down free throws at a high rate.
How to get it: Shoot and make free throws.
Playmaking
ANKLE BREAKER –Can cause his defender to stumble or fall with his dribble moves.
How to get it: Score in the lane.
FLASHY PASSER –Known for throwing on-point flashy passes to his receivers.
How to get it:Complete assists with flashy passes.
BREAK STARTER –Starts fast breaks with accurate outlet passes.
How to get it:Get defensive rebound and throw outlet pass to teammate in transition.
–Throws accurate passes and hits shots off screens at a high percentage while orchestrating a pick & roll.
How to get it:Call for screens in a single season using the pick & roll mechanic.
LOB CITY PASSER –Completes alley-oop passes at a high rate.
How to get it: Throw successful alley-oop passes.
DIMER –An elite passer known for hitting teammates in the correct position to score.
How to get it:Get assists.
GLUE HANDS – Known for his ability to make difficult catches.
How to get it:Perform 50/50 Plays
Athleticism
LOB CITY FINISHER –Finishes alley-oops at a high rate.
How to get it: Complete successful lobs, can be layups or dunks.
POSTERIZER –Will succeed at dunking on opposing defenders more often than others.
How to get it: Contact dunks/contact dunk attempts.
BRUISER –The physical nature of this player drains energy from his match-up.
How to get it: Get physical with the opponent
BRICK WALL –Sets extremely effective screens.
How to get it: Set screens / picks.
ONE MAN FAST BREAK –Excels at taking the ball coast to coast on a fast break.
How to get it:Score on a fast break.
QUICK REFLEXES –A player who has quick reactions on the floor.
How to get it: Get deflections and interceptions during games.
Rebounding
HUSTLE REBOUNDER –An elite rebounder known for chasing rebounds out of his area.
How to get it: Getoffensive rebounds and defensive rebounds.
Defense
DEFENSIVE STOPPER –While playing on-ball defense, this badge drops various offensive skills of similarly positioned match-ups.
How to get it: Complete good shot contests and good fast break defense actions.
CHARGE CARD –Adept at placing himself in position to win charge calls.
How to get it: Draw charges.
PICK DODGER –A slithery player who can get around screens easily.
How to get it:Any time you see a defender set a screen, even if it’s off ball, run through it. Closely Go Over or Under Screens and eventually you will unlock it.
PICK POCKET –Known for his ability to strip the ball from a ball-handler.
How to get it: Poke the ball loose.
RIM PROTECTOR –An elite shot-blocker who intimidates those around the rim, causing interior shots to be less effective.
How to get it:Perform blocks
CHASE DOWN ARTIST –Terrific transition shot blocker.
How to get it:Perform chase down blocks
